Transit Bus Driver (Part-Time)

About the role

The Transit Bus Driver will operate East Texas A&M University’s transit routes on a part‑time basis, ensuring safe and reliable transportation for students, staff, and visitors while providing courteous customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Drive scheduled bus routes according to the university’s timetable.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
• Assist passengers with route information, boarding, and alighting.
• Maintain a safe driving environment and adhere to all traffic and university regulations.
• Complete required paperwork and communicate any service disruptions to supervisors.

Required profile

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work part‑time hours as scheduled.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Capability to work under supervision and follow established procedures.
