Systems Administrator – IT Infrastructure & Helpdesk

About the role

The Systems Administrator will support Centerline Logistics' IT environment across offices and vessels. Based in Channelview, TX, you will act as the primary point of contact for the office while collaborating with a Seattle‑based team. The role combines Tier‑2 helpdesk support, system deployment, and backend process ownership.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and support long‑term IT strategies in line with company processes.
• Deploy, manage, and improve hardware, software, applications, and network services.
• Maintain data integrity, security, and compliance through audits, backups, and restores.
• Support application development, performance analysis, and system upgrades.
• Document configurations, processes, and provide mentorship to helpdesk staff.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation for emergency support.
• Travel to ships and shipyards as required and pass background checks for port access.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities in high‑pressure environments.
• Excellent oral and written communication with a customer‑service focus.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for up to two weeks at a time.
• Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and continuous improvement mindset.
