About the role
The Systems Administrator I will implement and support company‑wide systems environments, including retail, core, and business platforms. Working closely with the CTO and IT peers, the role ensures high‑availability, compliance, and continuous improvement of the technology stack.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate and resolve technical problems for internal customers.
- Provide support for multiple systems environments to meet change‑management compliance.
- Perform software and network administration: configuration, updates, patches, hot‑fixes, and license renewals in partnership with SaaS vendors.
- Conduct capacity planning, monitor uptime, and report performance metrics.
- Design, implement, and maintain system security standards and configurations.
- Configure and test communication between retail/business software and underlying systems.
- Act as subject‑matter expert and liaison for business users and technology partners.
- Serve as escalation point for production issues and coordinate with partner technical support.
- Create policies, procedures, and documentation to satisfy compliance requirements.
- Participate in an on‑call rotation to provide production support.
Required profile
- 3–5 years of experience with systems and software technology in distributed environments.
- Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Experience installing and maintaining cloud‑based POS or Meraki network devices.
- Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems using best‑practice methodologies.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance processes.
