About the role
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk supports the University of Arkansas campus by managing inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining inventory integrity. This full‑time position works within the Facilities Management and Services division and reports to the shipping supervisor.
Key responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments and materials.
- Prepare, label, and dispatch outgoing shipments in accordance with university policies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and reconcile discrepancies.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts safely.
- Coordinate with vendors, internal departments, and transportation carriers.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
