Senior Systems Administrator

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join an established fintech/online brokerage in Queens, NY. The role is fully onsite (5 days a week) and offers the chance to shape the infrastructure of a fast‑growing investment platform.

Key responsibilities

• Manage data‑center operations, virtualization, and network architecture across enterprise environments.
• Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Architect and administer VMware environments and virtual infrastructure.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and containerization using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Docker/Kubernetes.
• Deploy and operate monitoring and observability solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in a regulated financial services setting.

Required profile

• 10+ years of professional experience in system administration and infrastructure.
• Hands‑on experience in regulated environments (financial services) or small MSPs where multiple responsibilities were handled.
• Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related STEM field.
• Proven ability to work on‑site in the NYC area and eligibility to work for any US employer.

• Base salary $130,000‑$150,000 per year (depending on experience)
• Annual cash bonus ranging from 50% to 100% of base salary
