Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst (Remote)

About the role

The Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst will join Trace3’s remote security team to monitor, detect, analyze, and respond to cyber‑security events across client environments. This position is essential for protecting assets, minimizing risk, and ensuring timely escalation and remediation of incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts from SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls and other tools.
• Perform triage and analysis to assess severity, impact and root cause.
• Document incidents and follow defined response procedures.
• Execute initial containment and remediation steps using playbooks.
• Maintain awareness of current threats, vulnerabilities and emerging attack techniques.
• Produce detailed incident reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with incident response, threat intelligence and engineering teams for deeper investigations.
• Create and maintain knowledge base articles and standard operating procedures.

Required profile

• Experience with security monitoring and incident response in a SOC environment.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent written communication for clear incident documentation.
