Research Technician II

About the role

The Research Technician II provides semi‑skilled technical support for the ANSCI AI Lab’s INRMP Modernization Initiative. Working under general supervision, the technician helps develop an AI‑enabled Integrated Natural Resources Management Plan (INRMP) engine and contributes to a dynamic, living INRMP framework.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the INRMP data corpus.
• Preprocess, structure, and curate data for machine‑readable use.
• Support AI/ML workflow integration for the INRMP engine.
• Integrate data into the living INRMP framework.
• Contribute to standardization and retro‑fitting tasks.
• Coordinate project activities and collaborate with team members.
• Collect samples and measurement data from field experiments.
• Perform analyses, record observations, and conduct scientific measurements.
• Extract, compile, and compute data quantities and projections.
• Assemble and operate technical equipment.
• Assist senior staff with major field experiments and procedure development.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant experience may be considered.
• Ability to work under general supervision and follow routine procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and data integrity.
