Research Nurse – Clinical Research

About the role

We are seeking a Research Nurse to join our clinical research team at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. The role involves observing patient responses, documenting therapeutic efficacy of investigational drugs, and supporting both educational and research objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all consents, protocols, and forms are correctly completed and filed in the patient chart.
• Collect and forward clinical data promptly after each session.
• Report any untoward or serious reactions to the clinician immediately.
• Participate in project planning meetings with clinicians and attend regular staff meetings.
• Screen patients for study eligibility, administer test medications per protocol, and document observations.
• Conduct patient and chart rounds to monitor progress and respond to staff inquiries about adverse events.
• Maintain a safe environment by identifying hazards and contributing to accident prevention.

Required profile

• Demonstrated knowledge of age‑specific growth and development principles relevant to the patient population.
• Ability to handle complex patient care situations and communicate effectively with clinical staff.
• Commitment to applying evidence‑based research findings in clinical settings.
