Project Specialist I

About the role

The Project Specialist I will support the Plants, Nature, and Health Initiative (PNHI) within the Department of Horticultural Sciences at Texas A&M AgriLife Research. This role combines outreach coordination, data analysis, and digital communication to advance research and industry engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing outreach programs such as workshops, conferences, and symposia, including material development and vendor coordination.
• Download and analyze data from government and industry sources, create pivot tables in Excel, and produce reports, infographics, and PowerPoint presentations.
• Design and manage surveys in Qualtrics, clean data, export datasets, and support report generation.
• Edit and upload video content to YouTube and Vimeo, and use AI tools to draft reports, grants, and correspondence.
• Collaborate with audio‑visual and marketing teams to maintain and update websites, monitor performance, and publish news on social media.
• Organize and facilitate virtual meetings via Microsoft Teams or Zoom, recording and tracking attendance.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in project coordination and outreach activities.
• Ability to handle data collection, analysis, and presentation for agricultural and health‑related topics.
