Production Lead Operator

About the role

Seal & Design, Inc. is seeking a Production Lead Operator to supervise and develop a team of Production Associates in our Clarence, NY facility. You will ensure machines run efficiently, maintain high quality standards, and support continuous improvement across our gasket and sealing product lines.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and train Production Associates on machine operation, job set‑up, material selection, and maintenance.
• Plan and assign work, communicate daily schedules in huddles, and monitor productivity against KPI targets.
• Provide hands‑on troubleshooting, conduct first‑piece inspections, and perform random quality checks.
• Utilize MRP software for production planning, job scheduling, and inventory readiness.
• Initiate non‑conformance processes, recommend preventive actions, and drive continuous‑improvement projects.
• Maintain dies, oversee preventative maintenance, and enforce safety policies.
• Conduct performance reviews, coaching sessions, and disciplinary actions as needed.

Required profile

• Associate degree (AA) in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 1‑2 years of related production or manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency with business software and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and perform basic math calculations.
