Personal Finance Instructor (Tarleton Today)

About the role

Tarleton State University is seeking a Tarleton Today Instructor to teach Personal Finance within the Department of Accounting, Finance & Economics. The position is a 10‑month, non‑tenure‑track appointment based on the main campus in Stephenville, Texas, with an optional summer appointment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver undergraduate courses in personal finance, both on‑campus and online.
• Prepare syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, and assessments aligned with university standards.
• Engage students through interactive teaching methods and provide academic advising.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum reviews, and university service activities.
• Maintain office hours and respond to student inquiries in a timely manner.

Required profile

• Earned graduate degree in finance, economics, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the college level, preferably in personal finance or related subjects.
• Commitment to inclusive teaching and student success.
• Ability to work full‑time from August 1 to May 31, with optional 50 % effort summer appointment.

Required skills
