Nonprofit Communications Lead

About the role

GoFundMe is seeking a Nonprofit Communications Lead to shape executive messaging and strategic storytelling for its B2B product, GoFundMe Pro. The role partners closely with senior leadership, especially the Chief Customer Growth Officer, to amplify the company’s voice across the nonprofit and social‑impact sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a strategic communications advisor to senior leaders, crafting op‑eds, keynote remarks, LinkedIn posts, and other executive content.
• Collaborate with social‑media teams to ensure consistent executive presence and alignment with corporate priorities.
• Prepare executives for speaking engagements, including speech writing, presentation development, and message framing.
• Identify and secure media opportunities such as podcasts, press interviews, and industry panels, and manage executive media preparation.
• Develop and pitch compelling stories that highlight GoFundMe’s impact on nonprofit fundraising, innovation, and community outcomes.
• Lead outreach to nonprofit, philanthropy, and technology publications and podcasts to raise visibility for GoFundMe Pro.
• Support product‑related communications, including launch messaging, media outreach, and content that reinforces GoFundMe Pro’s leadership in donor engagement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in corporate, executive, or B2B communications, preferably within the nonprofit, philanthropy, or social‑impact arena.
• Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, capable of producing clear, persuasive content for diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cross‑functional communication initiatives in a fast‑paced environment.
