Materials Technician – Full-time, Day Shift

About the role

Join UT Health East Texas as a Materials Technician on the day shift. You will support hospital operations by ensuring that supplies are received, shipped, and distributed accurately and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Receive incoming medical and non‑medical supplies.
• Ship and distribute materials to various hospital departments.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform data entry.
• Follow all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure patient safety.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and dock lifts.
• Drive department‑owned vehicles, including box trucks, when needed.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a warehouse, inventory, or customer‑service environment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced setting.
