Managing Director, Commercial Private Credit (Greater Tampa Bay)

About the role

Libertas Funding is seeking a Managing Director to lead its Commercial Private Credit platform in the Greater Tampa Bay area. The role focuses on originating, structuring, and executing credit transactions for lower‑ and middle‑market companies while expanding the firm’s market presence.

Key responsibilities

• Source, originate, and structure commercial private credit deals across Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, and Hernando counties.
• Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual funding targets.
• Build and nurture relationships with business owners, C‑suite executives, private‑equity sponsors, and financial institutions.
• Oversee the full deal lifecycle and partner with underwriting, risk, and senior leadership teams.
• Recruit and develop talent to grow a local team.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• 10–20 years of experience in commercial lending or private credit.
• Proven track record of deal origination and execution.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to generate opportunities independently.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Deep understanding of financial markets and alternative financing structures.
