Leasing Professional – Residential Property

About the role

We are seeking a Leasing Professional to join our residential community in Berkeley Heights, NJ. The role focuses on driving occupancy, revenue and resident satisfaction through effective marketing, leasing and renewal activities.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct community tours, show apartments and process applications, credit and background checks.
• Prepare lease and move‑in packages, ensure smooth resident move‑in and lease signing.
• Inspect apartments before move‑in, confirm readiness and coordinate any needed maintenance.
• Monitor market and competitor conditions, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans to sustain occupancy.
• Execute marketing initiatives such as resident referral programs, employer outreach, and online advertising on platforms like Craigslist and Facebook.
• Utilize on‑site property management software to track availability, record traffic, manage resident data and capture demographic information.
• Maintain show unit standards through daily inspections and coordinate with the maintenance team.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to engage prospective residents.
• Detail‑oriented approach to application processing, lease preparation and unit inspections.
• Ability to stay informed about local market trends and adjust leasing strategies accordingly.
• Effective communication skills for conducting tours, presenting leasing options and handling resident inquiries.
