iOS Software Engineer – Aviation AI Startup

About the role

You will build mission‑critical iOS applications that improve flight safety and operational efficiency for a high‑growth aviation AI startup serving the Department of Defense and major airlines. The role focuses on real‑time, user‑facing features using SwiftUI and Swift, bridging AI insights with pilots in the cockpit.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement high‑performance iOS features for real‑time data visualization.
• Integrate complex internal and external APIs to deliver flight data and sensor information to pilots.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and product designers to create intuitive, safety‑critical mobile experiences.
• Ship production code used by DoD and commercial airline partners.

Required profile

• 2+ years of iOS development experience with strong proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI.
• Exposure to UIKit and multithreading concepts.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving skills and experience with asynchronous programming (async/await or GCD).
• U.S. Person status (U.S. citizen or green card holder) and residence within commuting distance of San Carlos.
