Instructor & Project Director – Title IV-E (Social Work & Public Health)

About the role

Tarleton State University seeks an Instructor and Project Director for its Title IV‑E initiative within the Department of Social Work and Public Health. The position combines teaching responsibilities with leadership of a state‑funded contract aimed at supporting vulnerable families.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in social work and public health.
• Coordinate planning, development, and implementation of the Title IV‑E contract in partnership with the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with department faculty, staff, and external agencies to ensure program effectiveness.
• Supervise student assistants and contribute to departmental service activities.

Required profile

• Earned doctorate or terminal degree in social work, public health, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience in academic instruction and curriculum development.
• Proven track record managing federally funded or state‑level projects.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills.
