Executive Director – Outpatient Mental Health & Substance Abuse

About the role

The Executive Director will lead the outpatient mental health and substance‑use treatment center in Northeast Philadelphia. This senior leader is responsible for overall operational, clinical, financial, and regulatory oversight, ensuring high‑quality, client‑centered care.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans to grow programs and meet community needs.
• Lead a collaborative management team, fostering staff development and service excellence.
• Monitor performance metrics for access, engagement, clinical outcomes, financial targets, and employee satisfaction.
• Participate in organization‑wide performance improvement and quality‑assurance initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, including CARF.
• Promote a welcoming, recovery‑oriented environment for clients.
• Facilitate regular communication across teams through meetings and reporting systems.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure operational success.
• Oversee development and management of the site’s annual budget and expenditures.
• Participate in leadership meetings, task forces, and other organizational initiatives.

Required profile

• Licensed clinician with a passion for leadership and client‑centered care.
• Master’s degree in a recognized field.
• Extensive experience in behavioral health or substance‑use treatment management.
• Demonstrated ability to drive strategic growth and manage complex operations.
