Designer II

About the role

The Designer II supports the design team by contributing creative concepts, developing drawings, and assisting with material selection. This position works under supervision to deliver schematic, design development, and construction documents while adhering to project goals and standards of excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Generate drawings for schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
• Conduct product research and assist with material selections.
• Prepare client presentation materials and participate in design reviews, charrettes, and pin‑ups.
• Coordinate with partners, consultants, and internal team members.
• Self‑check work for accuracy, compliance, and legibility according to the Project Delivery Manual.
• Take increasing ownership of tasks within project teams and studio activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in architecture or a related discipline.
• Preparation for the Architectural Registration Exam (ARE) and active involvement in an AXP.
• Interest in sustainable design certifications (LEED GA within 6 months, LEED AP, BREEAM AP, WELL AP, etc.).
• Curiosity about design trends and the broader industry.
