Construction Transactions & Litigation Associate (Midlevel)

About the role

Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is looking for a mid‑level associate to join its Real Property practice in Seattle, Portland, or Anchorage. The attorney will support the firm’s construction and design practice, handling both high‑volume transactional work and litigation involving commercial and public construction contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate construction and design agreements, including custom and industry‑standard forms.
• Advise clients on contract terms, risk allocation, and compliance.
• Support dispute resolution and litigation related to construction projects.
• Work with AIA, AGC, and DBIA contract forms.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience with construction and design contracts and related litigation in a law firm or in‑house legal department.
• Active bar admission and residency in the state where the position is based.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and client‑service skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.
