Community Manager – Sacramento

About the role

We are seeking a Community Manager to oversee the daily operations of a stabilized garden‑style property in Sacramento. The role involves leading the on‑site team, ensuring financial performance, and maintaining compliance with housing regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day property activities, including staffing, maintenance, and resident services.
• Develop and monitor budgets, analyze financial statements, and prepare monthly performance reports.
• Set rent rates, collect rent and fees, process bank deposits, and ensure timely posting.
• Approve vendor invoices, verify insurance certificates, and coordinate with accounting.
• Manage petty‑cash fund and control expenditures within approved limits.
• Oversee lease enforcement: approve applications, discounts, renewals, conduct inspections, issue notices, and coordinate evictions.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing, ADA, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and other applicable regulations.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of community management experience, preferably in affordable housing or LIHTC communities.
• Demonstrated ability to meet revenue targets and manage operating budgets.
• Strong knowledge of multi‑family housing regulations and compliance requirements.
