About the role
The Clinical Informatics Specialist will lead the administration and optimization of the College of Dentistry’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Based in Dallas, this full‑time position supports quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and data integrity across clinical workflows.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between clinical operations, campus IT, vendors, and compliance offices.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot EHR/EMR, medical billing, ancillary clinical, and document management systems.
- Analyze and improve clinical workflows to enhance efficiency and patient outcomes.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA, security standards, and healthcare documentation practices.
- Provide training, support, and documentation for end‑users.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum five years of experience in a medical/clinical setting.
- Experience with two or more of the following: EHR/EMR systems, medical billing systems, ancillary clinical systems, document management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to improve clinical workflows and support end‑users.
