About the role
Santander is seeking a Branch Operations Manager to ensure efficient, secure, and customer‑focused operations at its Hempstead, NY location. You will lead risk‑control initiatives, enhance the lobby experience, and support team development while upholding regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily branch operations, including cash handling, vault and ATM custodianship, and transaction processing.
- Maintain compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements to mitigate operational risk.
- Manage lobby flow, resolve customer issues promptly, and create a welcoming environment.
- Support tellers with coaching, feedback, and accurate cash counts.
- Engage customers through digital channels and promote self‑service options.
- Collaborate with nearby branches when business needs arise.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED; equivalent work experience accepted.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in bank branch operations or a related financial services role.
- Strong communication skills for in‑person, phone, and digital interactions.
- Ability to use data‑driven decision‑making to improve performance.
