Beach Pavilion Attendant – Full-time

About the role

Join the Fairmont Kea Lani team on Maui’s beautiful south shore and become the trusted guide for guests enjoying the beach. As a Beach Pavilion Attendant you will deliver exceptional beach services, share Hawaiian culture, and help create unforgettable island experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Assist guests with towel registration, rentals, and beach‑umbrella sign‑ups, explaining the “No Hold” policy.
• Manage the checkout and return of complimentary snorkel sets and boogie board rentals.
• Provide retail recommendations, process purchases, and promote water‑sport activities.
• Inform guests about safety flags, ocean conditions, and precautionary measures.
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the Beach Pavilion and surrounding grass area.
• Help guests set up their beach space and enforce all safety rules, seeking supervisor or security assistance when needed.

Required profile

• Ability to work in a high‑pressure, guest‑focused environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a strong team player.
• Minimum 1 year of customer‑service experience; luxury hotel experience preferred.
• Required certifications prior to start: Tuberculosis (TB) clearance, CPR and First Aid.
