About the role
The Associate Programme Management Officer, Administration, will be based in the Office of the Under‑Secretary‑General, Department of Operational Support (DOS), within the Performance and Analytics Section. The role supports the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of strategic and budget frameworks, and contributes to problem‑solving and analytics deliverables that drive continuous transformation and organisational performance.
Key responsibilities
- Work with key clients to facilitate development, implementation and evaluation of programmes/projects, especially those linked to senior‑leadership compacts and extra‑budgetary funding.
- Monitor and analyse programme/project progress, review documents and reports, identify issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct basic research, collect, analyse and present statistical data from diverse sources.
- Provide substantive support for policy coordination and evaluation, including reviewing emerging issues and participating in research activities.
- Assist in consulting assignments by planning and facilitating workshops, interactive sessions and developing client action plans.
- Participate in survey initiatives, design data‑collection tools, analyse responses and prepare preliminary conclusions.
- Contribute to written outputs such as background papers, analytical notes, report sections and publications.
- Coordinate budget‑funding activities related to extra‑budgetary resources, including programme preparation, submissions, progress reports and financial statements.
- Perform other duties as required.
Required profile
- Experience working with senior‑leadership compacts and extra‑budgetary funding programmes.
- Ability to conduct research, collect and analyse quantitative and qualitative data.
- Familiarity with policy coordination, evaluation processes and emerging trends.
- Experience facilitating workshops, consulting sessions and developing actionable plans.
- Knowledge of survey design, data‑collection tools and statistical analysis.
- Strong written communication skills for drafting reports, analytical notes and publications.
- Understanding of budgeting processes and financial reporting for extra‑budgetary resources.
