Assistant Professor – Epidemiology (General)

About the role

The Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology at the Perelman School of Medicine seeks multiple Assistant Professors in epidemiology. Candidates will join a vibrant academic community, contributing to methodological research, teaching, and clinical collaborations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead an independent, extramurally funded research program in epidemiologic methods.
• Teach and mentor students in PhD, MSCE, and MS programs, participating in curriculum development.
• Collaborate on clinical research projects, providing expertise in study design and data analysis.
• Serve as a scientific collaborator on team‑based research initiatives.

Required profile

• Ph.D. or equivalent degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in epidemiologic methods development and application.
• Strong commitment to teaching, mentoring, and scholarly activity.
• Ability to establish oneself as a research leader within the department.
