About the role
The Assistant Director of Restricted Funds supports the Vice President for Philanthropy & Engagement by managing the full life‑cycle of restricted gifts. This position ensures accurate tracking, stewardship, and reporting of donor‑restricted resources, enabling the university to honor commitments and maintain strong relationships with benefactors.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and maintain restricted‑fund tracking in Raiser’s Edge and related document‑management systems.
- Process gift agreements, donor correspondence, and related documentation for new and existing restricted gifts.
- Collaborate with development, finance, and alumni teams to ensure compliance with donor intent and university policies.
- Generate reports and analyses for internal stakeholders and external auditors.
- Support stewardship activities, including donor recognition and reporting.
Required profile
- Experience in fund accounting, development, or related financial administration within higher education or nonprofit settings.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple restricted‑fund portfolios.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
