About the role
The Dakota is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of the property. This role involves handling accounting tasks, rent collection, invoice processing, and using property management software to maintain accurate financial records.
Key responsibilities
- Collect and post rent, fees, and other payments; prepare daily bank deposits.
- Process invoices and payables, and stay current on rent assistance policies.
- Assist the leasing team with virtual and in‑person apartment tours.
- Review and submit vendor invoices for payment.
- Manage resident move‑outs, ensuring lease terms and legal requirements are met.
- Respond promptly to resident inquiries and resolve service issues.
- Collaborate with on‑site office and marketing teams to organize safe, socially‑distanced resident events.
- Act as on‑site supervisor in the Community Manager’s absence.
Required profile
- Experience as an Assistant Community Manager or in a similar property‑management role.
- Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to exceed expectations.
- Attention to detail in financial record‑keeping and compliance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Required skills
- Proficiency with property management software.
