Architect Designer – Residential Design

About the role

The Architect Designer will create and refine architectural floor plans and elevation drawings for Perry Homes’ residential products. This role requires independent judgment, a strong eye for detail, and the ability to balance design quality with cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop preliminary floor plans and elevation designs for all Perry Homes products.
• Analyze designs for cost compliance, value engineering, and overall efficiency.
• Coordinate with CAD producers to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
• Work with the Production Manager to oversee the flow of plans through the department.
• Maintain a Texas architectural license and complete required continuing‑education hours.
• Conduct field reviews of Perry Homes homes and monitor competitor offerings.
• Stay current on market demands across major Texas metropolitan areas.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in high‑end residential design.
• Licensed Architect in Texas.
• Strong attention to detail, creativity, and organizational skills.
