VP/Director of Finance – Senior Finance Leader

About the role

We are seeking an experienced finance leader to join a high‑visibility team, providing steady leadership across core financial operations. This role, initially on a contract basis with the potential to become permanent, will work closely with executive leadership to strengthen reporting, oversee cash activity, and deliver insights for critical business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Direct day‑to‑day finance activities ensuring accuracy, control and reliable reporting across a multi‑entity organization.
• Lead cash oversight processes, including liquidity monitoring, payment authorization support and disciplined treasury management.
• Supervise financial safeguards such as access controls, approval workflows and governance of sensitive financial systems and funds.
• Produce internal reporting packages for leadership and external stakeholders, including materials for lenders or creditors.
• Develop detailed profit and loss reporting that explains past performance, current trends and forward‑looking expectations.
• Build forecasts, models and scenario analyses to help leadership evaluate risks, opportunities and operational decisions.
• Partner with senior executives to provide financial guidance during periods requiring strong business judgment and stability.
• Oversee core accounting and close‑related activities to ensure timely monthly reporting and consistency of financial information.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading finance or accounting functions at a senior level (Director of Finance, VP of Finance or comparable).
• Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and month‑end close processes.
• Demonstrated success managing cash‑flow forecasting, treasury activity and financial controls with direct cash oversight.
• Experience creating financial models and performance analyses that inform executive decision‑making.
• Ability to operate effectively in complex organizations with multiple business entities or locations.
• Accounting expertise, preferably with experience in both public accounting and private industry.
• High level of integrity, discretion and reliability when handling sensitive financial information and approvals.
