VP of Asset Management

About the role

The Vice President of Asset Management will lead the strategy and execution for a multifamily development and stabilized portfolio, driving performance, investor returns, and long‑term value.

Key responsibilities

• Lead asset management strategy across the portfolio, overseeing lease‑up, stabilization, and ongoing operations.
• Monitor occupancy, rental rates, concessions, expense management, collections, and resident retention.
• Analyze financial statements, KPIs, and market trends to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Prepare and present asset‑level reporting, portfolio reviews, and investor presentations.
• Review budgets, forecasts, capital plans, and evaluate hold/sell/refinance decisions.
• Oversee capital improvement initiatives, ROI analysis, and support financing or disposition efforts.
• Manage and mentor the asset management team while collaborating with development, construction, and third‑party property management partners.
• Maintain relationships with lenders, investors, consultants, and ownership partners.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, Accounting or related field (MBA preferred).
• 8+ years of multifamily asset management experience, including development and lease‑up assets.
• Strong understanding of multifamily operations, budgeting, financial analysis, and investment strategy.
• Experience managing institutional‑quality multifamily portfolios.
• Advanced financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
• Proven leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
