Vice President of Accounting & Finance

About the role

Cleanleaf Energy is seeking a Vice President of Accounting & Finance to lead its finance function as the company expands its solar energy portfolio across the United States. The role reports to the executive team and is responsible for shaping financial strategy, ensuring accurate reporting, and safeguarding company assets.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leadership to define the company’s strategic direction and monitor implementation of tactical initiatives.
• Forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance and develop robust cash‑flow projection processes.
• Design and execute financial, tax, and capital‑budgeting strategies while identifying cost‑reduction and system‑enhancement opportunities.
• Oversee FP&A, tax, treasury, and transaction‑processing functions, implementing best‑practice operational controls.
• Collaborate with operational leaders to set, track, and adjust key performance indicators related to cost optimization, volume growth, and margin expansion.
• Prepare and present financial reports for leadership, the board, and investors on a regular basis.
• Coordinate external legal and insurance vendors, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible accounting/finance experience.
• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a comparable senior finance role.
• Proven ability to work closely with an executive team and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Experience in the energy sector or related services is preferred.
