UN 2.0 Internship – Data, Digital, Strategic Foresight & Innovation

About the role

The United Nations Development Coordination Office (UNDCO) is seeking motivated interns to support its UN 2.0 transformation agenda. Interns will work on data, digital, strategic foresight, innovation and behavioural science projects that strengthen the Resident Coordinator system and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals.

Key responsibilities

• Support policy, programme cycle and strategic communications teams with research and analysis.
• Contribute to the DCO Digital Solutions Lab by sharing insights and learning from assigned teams.
• Assist in developing data‑driven and AI‑enabled solutions for UN country teams.
• Participate in cross‑pillar collaboration, strategic partnerships and regional office activities.
• Prepare briefing notes, reports and visual materials for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Current university student or recent graduate interested in international development and digital transformation.
• Available for a 3‑to‑6‑month internship, full‑time (35 hours/week) or part‑time.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work in a hybrid or remote setting.
• Fluency in English; additional UN languages are a plus.
