About the role

Aptiva Healthcare is looking for a Registered Nurse specialized in Medical‑Surgical and Telemetry to join a travel assignment in Palestine, Texas. This 13‑week contract offers a fast‑paced acute‑care environment with both day and night 12‑hour shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to Med‑Surg patients, including assessments, medication administration, and wound care.
• Monitor telemetry data, recognize cardiac abnormalities, and intervene according to protocol.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions.

Required profile

• Active Texas RN license or multi‑state compact license.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Minimum two years of recent Med‑Surg experience in an acute‑care hospital.
• Ability to work flexible 12‑hour day and night shifts.
