About the role

Tarleton State University seeks dynamic scholars for a 9‑month tenure‑track faculty position in the Department of Animal Science. The appointment can be at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, offering the chance to teach, conduct research, and contribute to service on a vibrant Texas campus.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in animal science, both on‑site and through approved online modalities.
• Develop and maintain an active research program, securing external funding where possible.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
• Participate in departmental, college, and university service activities.
• Serve as a Campus Security Authority (CSA) as required.

Required profile

• Earned doctoral degree (or equivalent) in Animal Science or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching, research, and service.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse academic community.
• Willingness to engage in campus life in Stephenville, Texas.
