Teaching Assistant Professor – Interior Architecture & Design

About the role

The University of Arkansas seeks two Teaching Assistant Professors in Interior Architecture and Design to join its vibrant faculty. This non‑tenure‑track, fixed‑term position supports undergraduate and graduate instruction while contributing to the department’s academic mission.

Key responsibilities

• Teach interior architecture and design courses, including studio and lecture formats.
• Develop and update curriculum and course materials.
• Supervise student design projects and provide academic advising.
• Engage in scholarly activities such as research, publications, and presentations.
• Participate in departmental service, committees, and community outreach.

Required profile

• Terminal degree (PhD, MFA, or equivalent) in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the college level.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff.
