About the role
The Surgical/Scrub Tech supports the Main Operating Room team by preparing and maintaining a sterile environment for surgical procedures. This position ensures that all instruments, supplies, and equipment are ready and functional, contributing directly to patient safety and surgical efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Set up and organize surgical instruments, trays, and equipment according to procedure requirements.
- Maintain strict sterile technique throughout the operation, handling instruments and supplies for the surgical team.
- Assist surgeons and nurses by passing instruments, sutures, and other items promptly and accurately.
- Perform instrument decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization after each case.
- Document instrument counts and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a surgical technology program preferred.
- Current certification or eligibility for certification as a Surgical Technologist.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Ability to work day shifts in a fast‑paced operating room environment.
