Staff Nurse

About the role

South Brooklyn Health is seeking a Staff Nurse to join its diverse clinical team. Under supervision, you will provide professional nursing care to patients on an assigned unit, contributing to the hospital’s reputation for clinical excellence and culturally competent care.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess physical and psycho‑social signs and symptoms of patients.
• Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate individualized nursing regimens.
• Maintain accurate nursing care plans, progress notes, and documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to plan comprehensive patient care programs.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to allied nursing personnel and provide guidance.
• Participate in departmental conferences, policy development, and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Stay current with continuing education and professional development.

Required profile

• Valid New York State nursing license.
• Current registration with the appropriate nursing board.
• Ability to work under supervision while delivering high‑quality patient care.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with patients, families, and the health team.
