Software Engineer II – Android

About the role

Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology is looking for a Software Engineer II focused on Android to help build and maintain mobile SDKs that power our streaming and digital products. You will work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment, contributing to the infrastructure that supports Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and other consumer experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior and lead engineers to design and implement features in mobile SDKs for enterprise use cases.
• Support critical components such as the release process, remote configuration management, and live production issue resolution.
• Participate in code reviews, knowledge‑sharing sessions, and technical investigations.
• Identify and lead process‑improvement initiatives with a positive, solution‑focused attitude.

Required profile

• Mid‑level software engineer with a strong technical foundation and a track record of solving complex problems.
• Proactive “go‑to” person who can mentor peers and drive technical decisions.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
