Smart Home Technician

About the role

BRAVAS, the nation’s leading luxury home technology integrator, is seeking a Smart Home Technician for its Indianapolis team. You will work alongside lead technicians and project managers to install and service premium smart‑home systems in high‑end residential properties.

Key responsibilities

• Install and configure audio/video, lighting control, shading, networking, and security systems.
• Support pre‑wire, trim‑out, and final‑install phases on luxury residential projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and wiring diagrams to ensure precise installations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues on‑site with professionalism.
• Communicate progress, timelines, and task updates to lead technicians and project managers.
• Maintain daily documentation and job updates in the project‑management software.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in residential technology installation or a related trade.
• Hands‑on experience with low‑voltage wiring, audio/video, or home automation systems.
• Familiarity with Control4, Savant, Lutron, or Crestron is a plus.
• Ability to read construction drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check.
• Physical ability to lift up to 60 lb, work in tight spaces, at heights, and in varying outdoor conditions.
