Service Technician – Oasis Community

About the role

The Service Technician will ensure that vacant and occupied units at the Oasis community meet Greystar’s quality standards. This onsite role involves performing technical and mechanical work to keep the property’s buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas safe, functional, and presentable.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident service requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing them according to company policies and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, completing repairs, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to read and interpret work orders, maintenance manuals, and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and safety standards.
• Good organizational skills for scheduling vendors, tracking inventory, and completing documentation.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, lift equipment, and work in various weather conditions.
