Senior Control Emulations Quality & Support Engineer

About the role

AVEVA’s Simulation & Learning team is looking for a senior engineer to combine customer technical support with quality assurance for its Control Emulations products (SCP and TRISIM). The role focuses on helping industrial customers build and validate digital twins of their plant control systems while ensuring the software meets high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical investigations with customers, gathering logs, configurations and reproduction steps.
• Recreate customer environments on local VMs/servers and Azure cloud to isolate root causes.
• Coordinate issue resolution across Engineering, Product and QA teams, providing clear technical summaries and status updates.
• Design and execute test plans for Control Emulation software, emphasizing real‑world configurations and regression coverage.
• Develop, maintain and improve test cases, suites and test environments for both on‑premise and cloud setups.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and/or Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
• Solid understanding of Windows‑based networked environments and enterprise troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Self‑motivated, able to prioritize multiple investigations and work independently.
