Senior Consultant – Retail & Supply Chain

About the role

The Senior Consultant is a core member of project teams delivering management consulting engagements for retail and supply‑chain clients. You will lead workstreams from planning through analysis, recommendation and implementation planning, while providing day‑to‑day leadership onsite.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end workstreams, owning workplans, milestones, deliverables and execution of time‑and‑motion studies, work measurement and cost‑benefit analysis.
• Conduct onsite diagnostics and current‑state assessments through interviews, process mapping, floor observations and data validation.
• Design future‑state processes, capabilities and enabling technologies to improve operational performance.
• Build and oversee core analyses and models such as KPI baselines, volume‑to‑labor/capacity models and productivity sizing to support quantified business cases.
• Develop engineered labor standards, including documentation, governance, rollout and sustainment support.
• Translate analysis into actionable recommendations and implementation‑ready roadmaps across people, process and technology.
• Facilitate workshops, synthesize outputs into clear action plans and executive‑ready presentations.
• Support business development through proposals, presentations and new client opportunities.
• Coach and develop junior team members through delegation, coaching and quality assurance.
• Identify risks, constraints and dependencies, propose mitigation plans and escalate as needed.

Required profile

• B.S. in Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3–7 years of consulting experience applying industrial‑engineering principles.
• Experience leading onsite client work in retail and/or supply‑chain environments.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and executive‑level communication skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively (80–100% domestic, occasional international).
