Senior Associate, Build for Rent

About the role

We are building one of the most sophisticated Build for Rent platforms in the United States and need a sharp, driven Senior Associate to work directly alongside senior leadership. The role sits at the intersection of investment management, development, and platform building, offering a fast‑track path toward senior investment leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Source and underwrite acquisition opportunities nationwide, delivering deals to regional teams.
• Screen and evaluate land acquisition opportunities, providing underwriting feedback and program guidance.
• Maintain and expand builder partnerships with national homebuilders and broker networks.
• Present insights and risks at the Investment Committee, surfacing market trends.
• Develop and maintain quantitative and qualitative underwriting standards and tools.
• Create and own a centralized investment knowledge base for best practices and deal learnings.
• Collaborate with asset management to institutionalize portfolio insights.
• Support portfolio reporting and LP‑facing deliverables in partnership with Portfolio Management.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in real estate, strategy consulting, or related fields.
• Demonstrated ability to underwrite and evaluate acquisition opportunities.
• Experience working with regional development or investment teams.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize market data.
