Senior Accounting Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a senior accounting consultant to lead client engagements, deliver sophisticated financial solutions and act as a trusted advisor across interim accounting, management and M&A projects. The role blends hands‑on accounting work with strategic guidance in a fast‑paced consulting environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as Interim Senior Accountant: prepare and review journal entries, reconcile GL accounts, manage chart of accounts and support month‑end close and financial reporting.
• Act as Interim Accounting Manager: improve accounting workflows, ensure compliance, review reconciliations and resolve complex accounting issues.
• Function as Interim M&A Specialist: conduct financial due‑diligence, identify risks and opportunities, and support transaction lifecycle analysis.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, translating ambiguous problems into actionable solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (Master’s preferred); CPA or equivalent certification highly valued.
• Minimum 2 years experience in public accounting (Big Four or Next Ten) or a mix of public and industry experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, client‑facing confidence and a passion for operational accounting.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
• Familiarity with supplemental tools such as FloQast, Blackline, Workiva and Carta.
