Security and Safety Officer

About the role

The Security and Safety Officer will support the safety and security operations of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences campus in Little Rock. This role involves protecting people, property, and ensuring compliance with health‑screening protocols across the university’s facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, students, and visitors.
• Conduct health‑screening procedures and monitor compliance with safety regulations.
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and security alerts.
• Coordinate with campus police, local law enforcement, and emergency services as needed.
• Perform regular safety inspections and report hazards.
• Assist in developing and updating security policies and emergency response plans.

Required profile

• Legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Ability to work onsite at the Little Rock campus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to campus safety.
