RN Utilization Review – Weekend Emergency Department

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to perform utilization review duties in the weekend Emergency Department. This position supports the hospital’s commitment to high‑quality, cost‑effective patient care during weekend shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct utilization review for patients presenting to the Emergency Department on weekends.
• Assess clinical documentation and ensure appropriate use of resources in accordance with hospital policies.
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other clinical staff to optimize patient care pathways.

Required profile

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Availability to work weekend shifts in a fast‑paced emergency setting.
