About the role
The Center for Functional and Molecular Imaging (CFMI) at Georgetown University is expanding its neuroimaging research program. The Research Technician will operate a 3.0T MRI scanner, support investigators in extending fMRI acquisition and analysis methods, and contribute to ongoing laboratory studies.
Key responsibilities
- Operate the 3.0T MRI scanner safely after training, schedule scan sessions, and ensure participant MR safety.
- Assist researchers with neuroimaging experiments, manage data transfer, and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Perform quality control, data organization, processing, and analysis for various MRI projects.
- Contribute to data interpretation, manuscript preparation, and overall research study execution.
- Work with diverse participant groups, including neurodivergent individuals, Alzheimer’s patients, stroke survivors, autism spectrum disorder participants, and children.
Required profile
- B.A. or equivalent degree.
- At least one year of relevant experience in MRI or neuroimaging research.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to follow detailed protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with participants and research staff.
