About the role

The University of Arkansas at Monticello seeks a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive clinical care, health education, and wellness support to students. This position ensures a safe and healthy campus environment while overseeing daily operations of the Randy S. Risher Wellness Center.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and treat minor illnesses and injuries, administer medications, and provide first aid and emergency response.
• Maintain confidential medical records and coordinate referrals to external healthcare providers.
• Lead campus-wide health education initiatives, screenings, prevention programs, and health awareness campaigns.
• Collaborate with Counseling Services, Residence Life, Athletics, University Police, Academic Affairs, and community healthcare providers.
• Participate in campus emergency response and serve on the Behavior Intervention Team.
• Manage daily operations of the Wellness Center, including staff supervision, scheduling, and supply management.

Required profile

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Arkansas.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Experience in student health, campus health services, or similar clinical setting.
• Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies.
• Strong communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
