Registered Nurse – ENT/Ortho Surgical Specialties (F9)

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the ENT/Ortho Surgical Specialties team (F9). This position provides direct patient care in the operating room and peri‑operative settings, supporting a multidisciplinary team dedicated to high‑quality surgical outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing ENT and orthopedic surgeries.
• Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during operative procedures.
• Coordinate patient flow, pre‑operative preparation, and post‑operative recovery.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system.
• Educate patients and families about surgical procedures, recovery plans, and discharge instructions.

Required profile

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States.
• Experience in ENT or orthopedic surgical nursing preferred.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Required skills

• Clinical nursing competencies for surgical care.
• Knowledge of ENT and orthopedic procedures.
• Proficiency in patient assessment, IV therapy, and wound care.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record documentation.
